This & That
Part 1 - "Who are we Presbyterians, and where are we situated in the history and faith of the larger church?"
First (1), in the broadest description of who we are as Presbyterian Christians, we are biblical. We might think this could be taken for granted, but it cannot. Not all who claim to be Christian are exclusively biblical--some recognize other writings as being equally authoritative-or entirely biblical -some throw out the entire Old Testament and a great deal of the New Testament, such as the miracles. But as Presbyterians, we are among those who acknowledge the entire Bible and the Bible alone as the written form of word of God. Thus we worship the God and Father of Jesus Christ as revealed to us in the Scriptures. We believe in the gospel of Jesus Christ, including the forgiveness of our sin and the promise of life eternal. We share this with other biblical Christians around the world and through the centuries. One name among others to associate with biblical Christianity would be that of the Apostle Paul.

Saint Paul Choir
Our choir, which we all love, has lost some important members. It is incumbent upon all of us to help. Every one of us needs to search our mind for people who like to sing and invite them, or give them a ride so they can be in the choir. Bad things happen when good people stand by and do nothing. In the words of a modern day philosopher, lets "Get 'er done."
Also, the Saint Paul Choir's second CD, I Trust in the Lord, has been completed and is ready for distribution. Suggested donation is $10. See Chuck Compher to reserve your copy.
